We offer country house style cuisine in the heart of Burg (Spreewald) and try to re-invent classic dishes with regional ingredients.
Our restaurant’s name “Kräutermühle” is German for herbal mill. The menu changes with the season and is driven by what is current available with our local suppliers. We then refine our meals with herbs from our very own mill garden.
Our 100 seats inside include spacious tables in the winter garden as well als cozy ones in the mill chamber from where one can look right at the blades of our mill. In the summer, there is an additional 100 seats available outside in our beer garden which is located next to Burg’s beautiful gardens.
We strive to worship our picturesque surrounding with regional dishes prepared in our very own style. Feel free to test our cold cucumber soup, schnitzel with horseradish coating and fried potatoes with chive!
